At This Moment with Billy Vera
by: Jeff Hightower
When you think Billy Vera, the very first thing to come to mind is Michael J. Fox losing his on-screen girlfriend on the 80's television sitcom "Family Ties". But just like an iceberg, the biggest portion of this giant lies below the surface where you can't see it. Billy sat down to shed some of his vast knowledge of the music industry on us. We talked about everything from picking the hardest nights to play clubs to his current projects of producing for Rhino records, compiling box sets of blues, soul, and vocal groups for Atlantic Records' 60th anniversary which can only be bought through www.rhinohandmade.com. Born into the music scene and living it his whole life, Billy has experienced more in his years playing music than most ever do in a lifetime. Along the way he's learned the music industry inside and out. And we at HornetManMusic are very grateful that he would pass on his knowledge to the artists in the indy circuit and maybe help us understand what it's like on the inside. Take note, because lessons like these don't come around everyday. So with out further delay, click on this link and I present to you – "At This Moment with Billy Vera". Special thanks to Joe Smith at Rock Springs Audio and Serena Matthews for their help on post production.
